If you haven't discovered the true joy of wearing dresses then I hope this video inspires you to find a fab dress to love. A great dress can truly make you feel amazing and it really does make getting dressed in the morning so much easier. – you simply put it on, add a few accessories and you're done! I stopped wearing dresses for a number of years and now I'll never be without a great dress. Most of the dresses in this video will work as great trans-seasonal pieces too – with a little extra layering they will take you through to the colder months and beyond. Nice dresses! You’re right about the wrap dress. I’m short and short waisted, definitely don’t like how they look on me. I wear my collection of tshirt dresses all spring and summer and into fall. 🙂

Especially for our long hot and humid summers just luv dresses. I can’t wear jeans or trousers in the heat of summer so only wear dresses. Always on the lookout for something different and will try a t-shirt dress.

Yes to dresses. I absolutely love dresses. I love the one and done aspect and I have never been uncomfortable wearing a dress but I have been uncomfortable in other garments. I wish that I could live in a climate where I could just wear dresses and sandals all year. I agree about the wrap dress – it does not flatter me but a shirt dress/ which I just discovered this year, is amazing.

I agree! The dress is my most worn, favorite and most comfortable garment in my wardrobe, followed by skirts and knit tops. They were the first, and are still the best items for women, in my opinion. I love airy ones in breathable fabrics for the hot season, and knitted ones for the cold, I just add tall socks, and boots when I go out. With my long torso, at least the lower part, anything without a crotch (sorry to be crude) is so much comfier, they don’t ride up there. Also, one and done, long and lean, separates are just more complicated.

It so cool that you guys are going into Winter and finally we basically skip Spring and now jump straight into Summer temp. This is a shock to the body. This did provide some additional information that I could put to use. When cinching in waist I naturally go to a leather belt but a bum bag is a good option or crossover bag because it bring the fabric closer to the body but not as restricting and it functional. I will be focusing on shaving my legs if not tonight, tomorrow because it freaking HOT. Since I gained weight over this Covid19 season, I might have to look into wearing biker shorts to keep the thigh area from rubbing (if they do). Wrap dress are a pain to me because you trying to keep my chest covered and then also keep my privates private (if you get what I mean is an ultimate split). I am so going to lean more to the shirt dresses because I have thrifted so many oversized oxford men shirts (so most of them are long enough to be a dress). 😉Lovely to see what’s trending. Some of those more figure flattering T-shirt style dresses sparked⚡my attention.
💕 Love a maxi length wrap dress that I can cinch in tightly to fit my small waist while periodically giving a glimpse of leg. Although it’s tough to find one that doesn’t show off way too much cleavage for my comfort. 🌬️Willing to wear bike shorts under one to preserve modesty on a blustery day, but not always keen on having to wear a tank top too.
😱 Tend to stay away from spaghetti straps of any kind. Can’t deal w/strapless bras. Feel stupid wearing a shirt under one.
😖 Definitely not a fan of shirtwaist dresses. They feel too sloppy. Although I do like the idea of using one as a layering piece. 😊I have a sleeveless fit & flare maxi dress in denim that I sometimes wear as a duster. It gives me a boho matrix vibe, esp. when paired with black under layer.
🎀Dresses definitely speak romance & femininity to me, but I’ve been in a dress slump for a while. Just not feeling it.
💝 I do love skirts. They are a staple in my closet.
Have trio of maxi length gypsy skirts for those rare moments when feel flirty and wanna do some 🤠country western dancing.
Mostly wear a short pencil (6″ or so above knee). It’s my sporty/casual more elegant shorts alternative when paired with slip-on sneakers.
A straight maxi skirt can take me from 🏙️day to night🌃 activities, while it protects me a bit more from harsh UV rays☀️. Plus, a coordinating parasol is my year round protection from excessive sun.☂️

You look so beautiful in dresses 😊 Thanks for the recommendations. As a petite, 1:58cm, and in my late 40’s I find dresses a little challenging. I like shirt dresses, midi/maxi asymmetric dresses shorter at the front look the best on me. I look for dresses with side or front split or a round hem. I like waist definition and definitely avoid the oversized look.
