7 Men’s Fashion Trends That Need To STOP! | Courtney Ryan

Welcome back to my channel! It's been a hot minute since I have posted a video but feels so good to be back. In this video I talk about some of the worst men's fashion trends of 2020… and yes, tie dye is on the list. Keep in mind these are all my opinion of course and I bet you probably hate some of my clothes too 😉 enjoy!

    I’m glad that I’m not alone !
Although older, I think that clothing should accent your personality and style, not dominate or obscure it ! Just like that guy who sprays on a whole bottle of cologne before he leaves to go out for the day !! Like you said, sometimes less is more !
I hope that your thoughts don’t fall on deaf ears !!
    Thanks for sharing

Hey Courtney, I’m amazed on how you give men advice on what not to wear, which I honestly think is very helpful indeed. Watching your videos to include this one provides attention gaining tips. Will you do the same and guide women by making videos on how women should dress up during all seasons fashion and how to attract men a lot better in their style? I would be delighted to hear helpful tips from you to guide women as well.

Welcome back Courtney. You sound like you have a cold, stay safe please.😷 Thanks for giving an update on some of our older tired fashion looks. Your insight on men’s appearance is very valuable. 🇨🇦

Your videos are really good. I have watched them all. Your sense of styling, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU ARE SOO GENUINE ! AND I ABSOLUTELY APPRECIATE IT ! Your videos are really REALLY interesting to watch ! And please do upload more ! I just agree with all things you say about style! It is similar to how I think about style, that is, timeless classic style is best because trends come and go. Your video content is VERY INFORMATIVE and HIGH QUALITY. I really value your perspective!

Great list Courtney, really spot on!

Not going to lie, bought some of the stuffs you mentioned in this list like baggy denim and tie dyed tee and ended up not wearing them all that much as it’s hard to look flattering or match them to something without being chaotic.

As I get older, I begin to pursue more of a minimalist chic look – lately it has just been only one statement piece at anytime (like a pair of considerably outstanding sneaker, jacket etc) while I could be wearing Uniqlo basics.

Personally, fashion has been about failing and exploration before I eventual gravitate towards a certain look. Don’t be afraid to fail!

@E James but he pulls out loose fit clothes damn good. That’s why in fashion you can wear whatever you want but should make sense

@Md. Shaban The true art of fashion is that it doesn’t have to make sense. I see your point, though. Style that is not for you may be for someone else! Fashion is limitless 🤷🏽‍♂️✨👌🏽

Someone should make a “worse female fashion trends”
I’ve seen a fair few women wearing trousers with humongous holes

@Adam T I love those strategies which make any actual thinking impossible…If we’re talking about ” generalisation” then there’ll be someone somewhere who says ” hey it’s not true, i have a friend who is black/gay/disabled/anything which proves you wrong …and then of course the other way is also true, if we talk about ” examples”, it can’t be used to prove a point because ” hey don’t generalise” ….sure…then there is no statistics, no science, no fact and only ” religious zealots” who talk on god and nothing else. Truth is that actually you can”t make a ” negative ” comment on how women do something because 1) you’ll be branded evil mysoginistic 2) there always be a white knight ( like you ) to take their defence and 3) no matter how legitimate you are, someone somewhere will take this as a challenge and deny what you said, even if it requires to lie . What matters actually is not to be true at 100%, it’s impossible;..what matters is ” is it true for the vast majority” ….and now if you don’t believe me, go on twitter and try to criticise women, i will watch your corpse burning.

Skinny jeans are the new mom jeans. Basically if it was in style in 2005-2010, and now you’re a mom still rocking the same jeggings or skinny jeans you did in college, you’re wearing mom jeans – like dad’s still clinging to their baggy cargo shorts.

Young girls rock baggy denim with sneakers now. As unsexy as it often looks.

I like how at the beginning of the video you took in consideration that some people may feel very confident in these fashion trends. Even tho you may not like the fashion sytle you encouraging them to wear what they like.

My sense of style always matches with yours. Love your contents. Also loving the way you appreciate these weird tastes by saying “Don’t be offended just because Courtney Ryan said they are ugly.” Trust me I wouldn’t be that much respective towards those crappy trendy guys 🙈

Coming from a streetwear perspective, I appreciate all of these aesthetics. Except for the logo overloading, no one likes those

If your looking for streetwear content, check out Jadon Grundy. He does a good job explaining how to piece together outfits and his style is dope af. Don’t waste your time on channels like this cause according to them, the only way to be “stylish” as a guy is to be tall, well-built, handsome and wear tight fighting clothes to show off your physique.

I agree on most except your last one “ shield shades”. It’s a South American / European trend that’s been for years now . My cousins from Argentina have been rocking this forever and are now just trending here , if you have the bone structure for it , it will frame and complement your face nicely. Take it from an Argentino /Texan , some people can pull it off .

Most of the jobs I’ve had in my life have been construction based so any jeans that look distressed or have holes/rips are from real wear and tear.

The shielded glasses 😂 – I love my pit vipers, they’re fantastic for fishing, baseball, and the beach. But, yes they don’t quite pair with a suit as well!
